Yes, I'm a bit late for sharing and writing this but... Better late than never, eh?
Hey there everyone, I'm back from the grave again! Normally, I wanted to do a blog post about the AI "art", but I wanted to make something more special and put effort on it, then my lazyness kicked in and I ended up to do nothing (b- but! i made a cli app, go check out pretty pliz).
Anyways, let's see what we have.
The king of an era, PewDiePie shared a video about his 2 Linux machines. Well, before the video he already shared some IG stories which shows a PC with a Arch Linux + Hyprland combo and Pewdie's video about the PC building had featured Linux Mint for a few seconds and some people noticed it and now PewDiePie is a fellow Linux enthusiast, that was spoken in Linux communities already.
Not all people in the Linux community aren't happy with the news. Some claimed the influx of newbie users will ask some "stupid" questions about Linux and corrupt this little island of "elites". Probably because helping and teaching is time consuming, so they're choosing the easy way: hate and segregation.
A meme probably made by an "elitist", from r/linuxmemes.

Some people also scared because some people claims Pewdie is a Neo-Nazi and his Neo-Nazi community will also ruin the Linux community. Which is also does not makes sense, it is impossible all of the 110 million subscribers are just pro-Nazi morons, no need to be paranoid.
Personally, I've really got surprised about the old king of the YouTube has made a video about my and many people's beloved software platform. I've seen random people in my YT feed trying to use Arch or Mint, and I usually laugh them from outside but this is more serious stuff and really nice to see.
I hope Linux would gain more recognition around the world, both corporate, government and especially home user space. (Actually Turkey did something like that but most of the projects contributed the movement are deprecated or enshittified.)
Thank you for reading this article! I don't know when I'm gonna come back again, I have some real life BS to deal. But anyways.
May power of knowledge be with you, friend.
